
Chandrapur (Mohammad Suleman Baig) : On April 26, 2023, a meeting was held at Moharli forest hall between the owners and managers of the Resort Homestay and representatives from the Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Project and TATA IIS (Indian Institute of Skills). TATA IIS is an initiative by the TATA Group and the Government of India aimed at creating a premier skilling institute that will not only set a national benchmark for quality, relevance, and scale but also become a global benchmark.
“Their main objective is to improve livelihoods by providing industry-relevant skills to youth, especially those from economically weaker sections of the country, to help them start Tata a career in the formal industry, and also provide economic assistance.”
TATA Indian Institute of Skills (TATA IIS) is a proposed technical training institute in India that is being set up by the Tata group of companies. The institute is expected to offer courses in areas such as automotive technology, construction, healthcare, and aerospace engineering, among others.
Tata IIS is providing hospitality programs in culinary art and housekeeping at a training facility named “Taj Skyline” in Ahmedabad. Skilled trainers will start these courses in the first week of May 2023, with 30 students enrolled in a three-month “Certificate in Professional Cooking Skills” program at a fee of INR 24,000, and another upcoming program is the “Certificate in Core Housekeeping Skills,” with 25 students enrolled in a one-month program at a fee of INR 6,000.
The TATA IIS team is currently in town and would like to invite owners, managers, and executives to discuss nominations and placements for training. Those who are selected for the courses will have to travel to Ahmedabad for the training.
On this occasion, the Deputy Director of Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve (Buffer) Kushagra Pathak, Moharli (Buffer) RFO Santosh Thipe, TATR Education Officer Prafull Sawarkar, TATA IIS Manager Radeshayam Chouhan, Srishti Bhagwa, TATA IIS Chef Trainer Rutvij Majmundar, Resort Owners, and Managers were present.
