As per the orders of the Maharashtra government, a new administrative reshuffle has taken place in the Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve (TATR) under the promotion and transfers of Indian Forest Service (IFS) officers. The primary objective of these transfers is to enhance administrative efficiency and improve wildlife conservation efforts.
New Transfers and Appointments:
Dr. Jitendra Ramgaonkar – Chief Conservator of Forests (CCF) and Field Director, Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve.
He has been transferred to the post of Chief Conservator of Forests (Territorial), Chandrapur.
During his tenure at Tadoba, he made significant contributions to forest conservation and project management.
Dr. Prabhunath Shukla – Deputy Director, Pench Tiger Reserve, Nagpur
He has been transferred to the vacant post of Conservator of Forests and Field Director, Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve, Chandrapur.
Under his leadership, Tadoba is expected to witness advancements in forest conservation and tourism management.
Mrs. Piyusha Pramod Jagtap – Deputy Director (Buffer), Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve, Chandrapur
She has been transferred to another vacant post due to administrative reasons.
Mr. Kushagra Pathak – Deputy Conservator of Forests (Territorial), Solapur.
He has been transferred to the post of Deputy Director (Buffer), Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve, Chandrapur.
This transfer has been executed as per the Central Administrative Tribunal’s order dated December 9, 2024.
Impact and Expectations:
The newly appointed officers will focus on improving forest conservation, biodiversity protection, and tiger tourism management. There is a strong likelihood of implementing new initiatives in wildlife conservation policies, tourism regulation, and coordination with local communities.
